SDII announced today that the first version of its database on the tested performance of steel deck diaphragms is available. The database may be found at the CFSRC permanent reports library: https://jscholarship.library.jhu.edu/handle/1774.2/40634. The database consists of a comprehensive Excel spreadsheet and explanatory material. The database formed the basis for the recently released companion summary document on tested performance of steel deck diaphragms. The database consists of over 700 tests on the in-plane shear stiffness and capacity of steel deck diaphragms, collected from world wide resources with extensive help and involvement from industry. The database is intended to inform modeling, code developments, and in general aid situations where more detailed knowledge of performance is needed.
