A recent SDII conference paper provides additional insight on how bare steel deck diaphragms warp under shear. The paper provides a simple beam finite element model as an alternative to the analytical expressions that are found in Appendix 1 of AISI S310. This provides first steps towards using AISI methods for warping prediction on more general deck cross-sections.
