The SDII team has completed preliminary structural testing on the FastFloor Residential concept. The non-proprietary system utilizes standard 3 in. deck connected to form a 6 in. cell then topped by a screw-fastened cementitious panel. The recent test report and conference paper provide results on achieving composite action in the assemblage and explore the overall potential of the system. Work is continuing on this system to develop variations, diaphragm solutions, and acceptable vibration and acoustic performance, additional updates will be provided here at the SDII steeli website.
