SDII researchers released a new report on determining the stiffness of concrete-filled steel deck diaphragms on the CFSRC DSPACE today. The report details experimental results on cantilever diaphragm tests and compares them to proposed design methods. The effort is intended to support the adoption of improved methods for stiffness predictions in related standards such as AISI S310. The report follows on from a recently released companion report on concrete-filled steel deck diaphragm strength.
